Valve production process

Valve a device used for controlling the fluid or air passage through a pipe or a duct.  Around hundreds of valves are used in a single power station to control almost every aspect of its operation. It is used in power plants to fulfill process gear which can increase power generation efficiency.

Valve production process

For better performance and different qualities the production process of the valves and actuators are produced in houses. The Valve production process are as follows:

1.   Design

Valves are designed in the complete solutions. To produce the industrial valves of high quality the industrial valve production is the process. The handcrafted components are involved in it. The time of the placing of order comes once a valve has been designed and approved by the customer. The order is placed by providence and the predetermined deposit is made after the customer’s improvement on the design.

2.   Die casting

In the actuator the components of the cast are the product core. For this reason the things are specialized in the die casting of aluminum. The extension of the automated things enables the hundreds and thousands of molding of valves and actuators.

3.   Plastic moldings

It is one of the strategic components. There are also many machines for injection molding of plastic materials in the valve production departments. In this way the overall production process is done in house and it guarantees the top level quality products.

4.   Testing and assembly

Following proper procedures is essential in the manufacturing process for valve assembly. The industrial valves major components should be cleaned and they should be assembled separately. After the production is completed all the parts need to be assembled to create a complete valve.

After the assembly process the valves now have to go through the pressure test. The most important pressure test for valves is the hydrostatic pressure test. The test conduct is opening the valve and applying the pressure that is 50% higher than its working pressure. The sealing surface of the valve remains leak free and the pressure that is applied cannot drop below and it is rated as the working pressure.

5.   Quality

The final and last step in industrial manufacturing is quality and inspection control. All the valves want to get inspected to make sure there is no error and leakage. Industrial valve manufacturers have to take quality assurance and inspection seriously. The inspector conducts the surface treatment inspection after sandblasting.

The Valve production process is a complete guide. It is not just a simple creation but there are many more factors. The factors include raw material, machining, heat treatment, assembly and welding. Valve should also undergo the different tests to ensure proper functioning before it is handed to the customers. When the valve shows internal leakage there are chances that the manufacturing is done wrong. The chances are that the manufacturing method that is applied does not meet the required standards. Better and good valves can last up to 5 years and the low quality ones can last up to 3 years.
